Is the radiator fan supposed to be on all the time? Cuz mine is. I have a '92 V6 w/ 165,xxx miles. Let me know what's up with my Camry.

yes, its hydraulic, i think it just iddles away a lot of the time

The fan is supposed to be on all the time???? Mine only comes on once in a while...then turns off after a little while....

i was gonna say.....unless some were belt driven fans and others were electric.....cause mine is electric

The fans are electronic.

If their on all the time you have a busted coolant temp sensor or you left the fans on and failed to realize it. Other then that I dunno.

On V6 camrys, the radiator fan is hydraulically driven. the power steering pump will direct fluid to and from teh fan. the fan itself is controlled by your ECU and a solenoid valve that adjusts the volume of fluid that comes in it.

I guess on my car, turn on the engine, the fan starts idling away. you turn off engine, fan turns off.

Wow...I never knew that...I always thought they fans were completely electric and were temperature controlled
