Radiator fan on

Is the radiator fan supposed to be on all the time? Cuz mine is. I have a '92 V6 w/ 165,xxx miles. Let me know what's up with my Camry.

The fan is supposed to be on all the time???? Mine only comes on once in a while...then turns off after a little while....

The fans are electronic.

If their on all the time you have a busted coolant temp sensor or you left the fans on and failed to realize it. Other then that I dunno.

On V6 camrys, the radiator fan is hydraulically driven. the power steering pump will direct fluid to and from teh fan. the fan itself is controlled by your ECU and a solenoid valve that adjusts the volume of fluid that comes in it.

I guess on my car, turn on the engine, the fan starts idling away. you turn off engine, fan turns off.
