Hi,

I wanted to find out what brand of wax or paint protectant is good to use? I have the 2002 Camry LE V6 in Titanium Metallic. I have used a brand called Lumanite made by Krown Rust. Anyone have any comments or suggestions?

Thanks,

Aziz

I have been using Nu Finish liquid wax for years now, and I've been very happy with it. I use it 3 times a year, and it keeps my paint looking shiny and feeling smooth. Not only that, but it's really easy to work with.

I would recommend a 3 step process (cleaner, polish, wax) like the Meguiar's system of producs either Deep Crystal, Gold Class or the professional grade Mirror Glaze(www.meguiars.com) or if money isn't an object, Zaino Bros. (www.zainobros.com).

I used to be a professional car detailer for luxury cars, believe it or not. We used only Car Brite stuff...professional use only, they don't sell this stuff in stores. However a few years ago, I located a distributer in Scarborough and bought stuff off of him...I swear by that stuff.

Here's the URL, they claim to be the best. They also have great instructions on how to detail your car. First time I wax a car professionally, it was a Rolls Royce...I screwed up the roof big time!

One time this guy came in with a really dull looking red Jetta...I spent 5 hours detailing it giving it a 3 step wax, engine shampoo, carpet shampoo, the whole works. When he came to pick it up, he was standing right beside it and was asking for his car. I said it's right there...that guy's jaw dropped and he was literally stunned...he couldnt' say anything, it was realy funny. I showed him the 5 bonnets I used to buff his car down with some abrasive compound...they were all beet red....

Let's just say you can definitly restore a car's paint if you have the right materials.

NU FINISH?!?!?!?!? Does that come in an orange bottle?

If so, that stuff is GARBAGE! I used it once on my car and my buddy used it on his car too. It got into the paint where the little stone chips were and into any little nooks and crannies and left a white residue sh** all over!

He considered suing Canadian Tire for selling it to him. He was going to buy something else and they sweet talked him into buying this stuff.

Wow nice pic Ryan. Can't say I've ever seen your car before. Must be nice to live in Cali and have your car nice and shiny all the time!

I've heard good things about Zaino Brothers and I've seen how clean it is after my friend used it in his Trans Am. The only problem is I can't seem to find this locally.

Henry: Where's the local distributor for CarBrite?
