some help- wheel cylinders

I had my rear wheels cylinders replaced. I thought my brake pads were going bad, but they were ok. So I was told i needed new rear cylinders. I had the new cylinders installed and when i got the car back, everything felt the same. the "soft pedal" when i braked just as before. To brake, you had to push it all the way in until it grabbed and slowed car down. but when u bearly touch on the brake, the brake lights would come on when my car actually wouldn't be slowing down. it made it look like i was riding my brake.

also now when I brake the Brake light for my hand brake comes on. It never did this until my new cylinders were installed.

I now have a light that comes on when i brake, still have soft pedal, and brakes that IMO are weak and unsafe.

Any ideas? im gonna go back and complain and get my money back or something.

Thanks guys!

Luke

edit: clarification

Brake Light on :Check your brake fluid, make sure it is above minimum level.
Soft /spongy/ long distance travel brake pedal: Probably there is air in your brake system.

Good luck
