Hey, I just had body work done to my car, and they decided to replace one of my headlights, and not the other....god dammit now i have 1 clean headlight and one dull as shit! Haha anyways, question is...is there any way to clean the other one on the inside? Cuz I can't figure it out, basicly cuz i dont wanna screw anything up. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
The best stuff I've tried is novus plastic cleaner, i paid 12 bucks for it at spadepot.com. Its a three stage system, after its done it makes the lights like new. I just did the outside but i haven't taken them apart to try the inside and get them all the way clean.
Don't use nailpolish or acetone unless you wish to permanantly fog the plastic.
First just try using regular car wax to do a fine polish and remove any film. If that isn't enough consider toothpaste or 'fine' meguire's polishing compound

Yah i work at Twax...and I've already machine buffed my headlight, believe me the exterior of the headlight is like new...its the inside that is like yellow...i just want it looking NEW, and i dont know how to take it apart, is there a way to get to the inside cuz im sure thats where the film and shit is....
You can take it apart, do a search for 'angeleye' headlight modification and you should be able to find out how to separate the glue I didn't read the thread carefully so I don't want to tell you something that is wrong.
You could also consider dishwashing detergent. Remove the headlight and fill it about 1/2 full of hot tap water (NOT BOILING) then put a 1/2 teaspoon of dishwashing detergent in the bulb hole, cover the hole with a palm and shake. Rinse and repeat heh.

Fore the Acetone or Nailpolish remover i ment for the inside not the outside. and if u use Dishwasher Soap for inside most def. u'll leave streaks. a Lil amount of Acetone will clean Throughly and leave no residue behind, we'll except glass or metal.
The reason i say use Acetone is b/c i have done it. they made my Heads look like new. and still not foggy or crusty. but hey you dont have to listen to me.
p.s. I dont know were u can buy Acetone, but i "Borrowed" about 1 Liter from Organic Chem Lab . (when my TA wasn't looking).
Go to your local supermakret and get a cleaner with "Orange Oil" In it, they should have a cleaner thats in an orange bottle. Spray it on, let it sit and whatch your dindgy film run onto your bumper :p. If that doesn't do the trick, I heard rubbing compound will do it.

You can get Acetone at hardware stores but i wouldnt recommend it.
I've experiemented some theories and techniques from tooth paste to wheel cleaners for providing cleaner and clearer headlamps. I've so far found that using a clay bar system first and then buffing with a foam polishing pad with metal polish working it for about 10minutes per lamp works like wonders.
