You can do this swap but it wont be cheap. Also dont forget, you will probably have to install a new proportioning valve to handle discs.
You can purchase ventilated or even aluminum drums and hi-perf brake shoes and the performance will be similar or maybe at least cose enough. The fronts do over 60% of the braking after all so worry about those, you can get ventilated rotors and good brake pads and your braking will be better. 4 wheel discs are nice but most of the cars i've ever owned were disc-drum and the braking was more than satisfactory, to me.
i know the difference in braking, for my 2002 V6 has discs and they work great - but not great enough to warrant all the additional cost and work to switch over on a car that didnt come with them. If it had come with rear drums instead, it wouldnt have affected my buying decision anyway. But then if this is what you want to do, you will find many after market outfits willing to take your money.
