Just goes to show how reliable Toyotas are. Unlike light sports car that are virtual death traps and can get crushed like coke cans, Toyotas (in this case, a Camry) are built to last (just ask my '91 Camry ). It's sad that the Camry took the hits, but hey, it gave it's life to save others, so by the same token, it's good to see that it was able to withstand several hits and cause minimal injury.

Packing your lunch in a paper bag-$5.00
Eating your lunch you bought on an airplane-$50.00
Losing your lunch from the airplane's cuisine, but not having a paper bag-Priceless
For everything else, there's paper bags!
Anyway, the Camry was sitting still at an intersection. A woman, speeding and on the phone, never slowed down. It knocked the Camry into traffic, where it was hit again and again. The airbags would have been of no use, so they didn't deploy. The driver hit his knee on the dash, but the child was completely unhurt (Thank God!)
A bunch of people who love this kid have composed a thank you letter to Toyota. I left my name, address, and phone number in the letter just saying "Toyota -- you saved my angel today, Thank you!". The letter was actually pretty long, though.
Since I have an 03 Accord V6, I posted this story on V6performance.net.
I got the usual "Glad everyone's okay" but one post struck me funny. "Your car is just as safe."
My Accord EX-V6, yes, is just as safe. However, when the Camry above was purchased it carried a final price of $13,000 used.
This got fog lights (not on Accord), auto-dimming mirror (not on Accord), a power seat, moonroof, spoiler (not on Accord), seat-belt force limiters (dunno if those are on Accord), and six factory speakers that actually sound good.
For 2x that, I got my AV6. A V6, alloys, and side-curtain airbags, and leather seats. Sure it was new, but from what I've experienced, it's not a better car even though the Camry had 101,000 miles.
ya they say both my parents would be dead if they had not been driving a toyota when we got in our accident. camry+3/4tonne truck. camry was a right off, but it did its job
