Well I want't paying too much attention when I bought a new dash surround for my 94. I figured that they were all the same from 92 to 96. Well the surround that I got doesn't have the parking brake release area on the lower left of it. Has anyone ever tried to relocate the release lever, and about how hard would it be to do it? Also does anyone have a extra dash surround that has the parking brake peice and wants to get rid of it let me know...thanks
may seem like a dumb question, but what is a pedal e-brake, over here every single car has a handbrake lever in the centre column, or like my dads 4x4 a weird contraption you pull on. so is it like another pedal down in the footwell that operates the handbrake?
oh ok cool thanks. so you push on the pedal to engage, and then pull the handle near the steering wheel (like my dads one) to release. does that mean manuals have four pedals down there?
i believe its very easy to do the full conversion if you get a center console piece, the section with the arm rest... Under there, the cable is there already, even if you have the pedal ebrake. i dont know if it is already connected, but it could possibly be. if not, i think it should be easy to connect. again, TALK TO RATKO, HE HAS DONE THIS... its no use talking about it with anyone else. nobody REALLY knows besides him. Maybe the Wraith would know. just send Ratko a PM...
If you have the tall center console, and the little change dish behind the shifter, you should be able to pull the dish out and see the actual shifter cable.
As for four petals, my 1992 Taurus SHO 5 speed had a foot ebrake. It indeed had 4 petals. The ebrake petal was almost above the foot rest. You needed to lift your foot up to use it.
You can see the e-brake petal in this auction (pic on the right, second from the bottom)
