shift knob install

I just installed my razo shift knob do you. I didn't take rayray advice yet about cutting the stalk since i don't have the time right now. I also relocated the o/d button but i kind of mest up on that. My interior looks like ass right now since the dvd player is sent for repair and the dash is getting painted.

Yea I know. It kind of looks like a steel penius.

Update on my first test drive. I got drove all the way to work on neutral. I need to fill in the bottom part of the shift knob. The black thing controls in gear indicator (the orange line thingy) .

when you pull it up you will see this blue tube. inside the tube is your o/d wires that is attach to the button. I just cut the wires and extend it with some speaker wires. then loom it through in back of the ash try, radio, then to that lil mount.

*sniff* memories of my first mod i ever did to the Camry.

smokey... i have the exact same shift knob sitting in a drawer somewhere. it was on my old car and never ended up using it again. it looks good, lowered or not (hey, it's still an automatic either way, right? ). i'll be changing mine out soon cuz the chrome part just below the button is starting to peel. you'd think Levoc would make quality stuff... but i'm pretty dissapointed with mine at the moment.

Real nice shifter, enjoy it! Kinda like an old ferrari stick, small & shiny, a pity you don't have a slotted gearbox.

Are you painting your dash yourself or getting someone else to do it? If you're doing it, is it difficult to do and what quality finish do you think you'll get? The reason I ask is I am thinking of customing my interior in black or grey and the dash and door upholstery could be a problem. Any advice would really help me out, thanks.
