I know this may sound funky, but this was just a random question that came up in my head.
Since there does exist 4WD gen. 2 Camrys, would it be possible to convert FWD gen. 2s to 4WD? Just curious.

You can make your camry an All-Trac look-alike. i can show you how to put rotors on the back of your camry. but it won't be a real 4WD CAmry. I'll post the web page soon..
I think he may have sold it, but I'm not sure. On that Online Showoff website that he has pictures of his gen. 2 on, he says that since he couldn't find anyone to buy the car, he was gonna keep it and try and do a 3S-GTE engine swap. I've sent him an e-mail asking him if he sold his Camry or if he still has it. I've yet to hear back from him.

Why convert your car. Waste of money and time. Just go buy an awd one. Keep in mind though, stock they are extremely slow. Slowest of all Gen 2's. So if you buy one you better have a swap a one heck of a forced induction setup planned if you want it to go anywhere fast.
And about Joey's car,he still has it. I talk to him on IM occasionally and he is keeping it (well until he changes his mind again at least )
Kewl beans! I guess I'll change the "In Memory of" part of the quote.

there probably is, but you'd have to say good bye to your interior as you have to make room for the drive shaft to the rear wheels. am i right??? but really, i'd leave a camry in its current fwd config, coz you'd be spending crazy amounts of money trying to convert the drive train.....
imo, if you want an awd that can go fast, get a wrx sti or an evo 8 or if you can find one, get a n1 skyline gtr- r34 v-spec2

It's possible but really why waste the money? The JDM Camry's all have a awd option so you could convert it but guess what, your car would end up being even slower than it is right now because of the added weight. Not to mention you would also be broke. You would have to do an engine swap to make it not be a snail. So figure you drop in a 3sgte and awd conversion. Okay, so now you are out of like at least 8000 dollars and your car is as fast as a stock 5 speed 6 cyl. Camry because it weighs more and does not have much more hp. Now you have to up the boost and add some more upgrades just so you can hang with all the other newer model stock family cars(Altima, Maxima, 6, Accord). However, you keep doing hard @ss launches to beat these cars and with the power you are making, you start to destroy your drivetrain. So you need to upgrade that, all the while, you are still getting obliterated by stock Mustang GT's and Neon SRT-4's. Do you see where I am going with this yet...

Why would anyone perform such a labor intensive conversion on a car with 115HP? I don't think wheelspin is that big of a deal...and if it is, there are better automotive platforms to start with.
