Ok ive seen people take the centers out of the gen 3 camry grills as well as others, Ive been wanting to do this I have a question, after you cut the center out, what is best to be used to fill the areas of the cuts so it looks clean? My idea for the grille is to use the rear letters spelling Camry and space this out across the grille. Im also planning on buying a RIPP supercharger set up for my camry, my other idea was to try and find a RIPP embilem and put it on one of the right top side of the grille. What do you guys think?

Im the kind of guy that can think up really sick ideas for cars, but when it comes down to it......can't complete the prodject. Hopefully I can find a spare grill to work with, then have it painted to match my car. Ive also thought about cutting out the bottom vertical lines on my bumper to make it apear as if it is a after market front end, but to the trained eye it is the stock front end. Instead of using the grill mesh, why not get sheet metal, draw a pattren on the sheet metal, then have it cut and shaped to fit the grill?

i don't own a Gen 3 so i couldnt tell you exactly, but you have to take into account that the grill is used to cool the radiator and if you block it right up the engine will run hotter.
in the winter (in the north) they put a peice of cardboard in front of the rad, covering most of it, to reduce cooling, would make a good winter front i guess
What I ment by cutting a desing would be only to leave a little amount of sheet metal, This could also be used on the lower portion of the bumper. Ill go draw some design up in paint and attach it to the thread so you get the picture of what Im dreaming.

It would be the first of its kind. It would look nice painted to match the car, this way you can have a "ONE OF A KIND" Design seeing as you or one of your talented artist friends drew it up.
Doing this would do away with the over used grill mesh. Im not saying I don't like grill mesh, Im saying if you want to be diffrent...this may be something to look into.
When it comes to cars.....YOU HAVE TO STAND OUT

I did that on my Gen 3. After that you should stick your license plate there. It makes it look soo much cleaner.
