has anyone painted calipers

has anyone painted the brake calipers on their car?
my friend recently painted the ones he had on his RSX-S red and they look pretty nice, was wondering if there were any cons to painting them. ie.void warranty......

lots of people have, probably voids warranty (dosen't everything)

no cons really, other than a very slight reduction in heat dissapation properties

sand off all the crap on the caliper, wipe clean, paint with high temp paint (prime if you can find a high temp primer),

use one of the Folia Tec Kits, they cost maybe $50.00 but they work great and come out with an awesome finish, it comes with the paint, hardener, instructions, and a box. You need to buy a little brush. I did mine silver and they have an awesome shiny finish that looks like it will last a long time and hasnt gotten dirty in the last 4 months (although I rarely drive the car)

I also painted my caliper, the dealership has not given me any hard time yet... I guess you don't really need to worry about that

Same as Henry here -- High Temp Engine Enamel
I had my calipers shaved so all the casting marks were gone... it makes the caliper look more"billet".
