Clutch Help...

Im Trying to find a performance clutch for a 2005 3mz-fe i know for sure the 5sfe one doesnt fit ( lol hey, i was just curious!) Any ideas anyone?

oh and does anybody local with a gen 4 5spd v6 have an extra 1mz-fe pressure plate lying around? I kinda have a feeling that one might bolt up to the flywheel.

I meant that question as in....there was no 3mzfe 5-speed manual transmission, that's why you can't find a clutch for it.

which car is this for, and what transmission are you using?

if you're doing a 3mzfe swap with the e153, then the 1mzfe clutch/flywheel, etc. *should* fit

thanks man, but I'm in Canada...haha

and yes, the 1mz one should fit just fine. for fitment's sake, go to a junk yard and pick up a flywheel and clutch. it should be dirt cheap.

I'D go with a stock clutch - i think if you get a "performance" one the sprongs are much stiffer, thus the pedal effort will be hellacious and you wont like it - and by then it will be too late to do anything about it without spending lots more time and money.

You'd think that the performance clutches are bad...but they're really not...

I have a Spec Stage III Clutch and I thought that it would totally suck for daily driving....but it's actually not that bad. It just has a really low engage point so you have to keep the clutch down pretty low in first gear.
