painting body kits

Hey guys, I been wondering if any of you guys bought kit and just paint it yourself? I been thinking getting the color code and go to like a home depot and let them do that paint mixture to my car, but then I think it'll look really crappy since its not for a car, but just wondering if any of you guys tryed anything like that, because I dont want to drop that much money on painting it since I think I might paint the whole car to a candy red next year, but I can't simply wait that long lol
btw this a 03 red camry with the vizage lips

haha, home depot doesnt do auto paint... you have to go to an auto paint supply store, PPG or something good. take your color code off the door. you have to have all the tools to get the job done right... compressor, sprayer, sandpaper of all grits, buffer, buffer wheels, rubbing compound. its not worth trying. get it painted for real from a body shop. they will do it right for 3-4 times the cost of the PAINT.

It really shouldn't cost more than a couple hundred ($400-$500?), and it will be done RIGHT, match your car, and look GOOD. Theres nothing worse than a crooked, broken, poorly installed spraypainted body kit.

thats ok... we arent narrow minded people here on the board... we will let you get a civic and not bitch about it... its acceptable! we would have rather seen you get a mkIII supra as a project car.......... those only go for like 2-3 g's in alright condition.

you have no clue...

you can make a supra nasty for little dollars...

the mkIII supra turbo has about 225 rwhp stock... its just a matter of time and small dollars to get it up to 400 rwhp... 500... 600...

I've seen supras with over 1000 rwhp!

parts are EASY to find too, in stock, not custom made.

Wana see the pic of my 5 various MKiii's?

I don't think ive seen anyone putting down over 550 hp reliably on a 3rd gen. I know the 4th's can put down crazy power, but theyre better built motors. Getting 400+ hp from a 3rd gen isnt as easy as on a 4th.

true its definitely not as easy. im sorry, i completely spaced on there. 7M parts are a little more difficult to find than 2JZ parts. I do know about 5 people with mk3 supras and one of them was up around 550rwhp.

Either way, its better than a civic!!!!!!! that was my point.
