Ok, as some of you know...I cleared out the 3rd brake lense. I got a APC L.E.D. Bulb for it number 194 wedge type. Well I put it in, it works fine and all but when I hold the brake down when the car is running the little light of a car with the brake lights illuminated comes on. Here is a photo, can someone tell me what is going on?

try putting back the old 1 and see what happens it sounds like it is the newer led bulb im guessing cuz the led bulb may have a diffrent resistance it might be tripping the light failure sensor
i think i have seen somewhere that people take out/ paint over some of the brake lights in the rear of the car.... and take out the bulbs of couse... and they have this problem. They way i saw to fix it was to remove the bulb from within the gauges... which means taking off part of the dash check out ray ray's site with the indiglo gauges for more info
btw.. im not sure if it will hurt your systems or not.. but i doubt it
Ive taken the bulb out...thats no problem, but I replaced it with a diffrent bulb. Mabey this caused it to happen....Im almost sure of it. Oh well, if something happens Ill be sure to let everyone know!

this happened to me, when i was replacing my speakers in the rear, but it worked once i put the light back on.
They should not pose a threat to your system, b/c it's just a light that tell u that one of ur rear lights are either out or not working properly. But the LEDs could be it b/c they might use less or more power then required for regular bulbs. this is what i think, but i could be wrong. anyone think this sounds correct?

i was thinking that too. try putting your original back in and see if the light goes off... if so, it's probably just the bulb. i had to take out the bulb for that indicator light when i painted over my centerpiece and removed the brake light back there. like mentioned... it's on my DIYDS site for the indiglos (*blush* wow.... people DO actuallly read what's on my site! *blush*)
Just in case check out your wiring running in the left rear corner of the trunk, the wires will occasionaly break for your reverse lights, or maybe something else...?
The LED bulb doesn't give the same resistance as a regular filament bulb so the brake light sensor comes on. Either take out the bulb on your dash or put in a resistor to trick the sensor.
but a burnt bulb gives infinite resistance, an led poses very little resistance, so its the opposite problem it seems, the system might be reading an open, try putting the lightbulb back on with the led at the same time
