But in all seriousness, lets say I got a RMM lip, and made my cai so that it attaches to one of those lil wanna-be FMICs air-filters, would I actually get any more gains as compared to a normal cone filter, or is that shit just a joke?

in theory, it should work...
BUT use mesh as a protector, a tight weave, but with spaces big enough to allow air in, without creating a lot of drag...

Thanks guys,
I installed the lip last week. Im still in the honeymoon phase with it, I love it. So far only scraped once slightly, but that was because I took a driveway straight instead of going in on an angle, oh well, no problems...
The wheels turned out to be better than I ever hoped. They are from a 95 Mazda Millenia, and I had the hubs bored out to 73mm so that I could fit universal Toyota hub rings onto them so they'd be hubcentric. I was worried about their fitment also since they are 50mm offset, but they fit really good. I still think Im gonna put 10mm spacers in the back though, just so it sits flush with the fender. It was a challenge finding a good performance summer tire for a 15x6 rim, but I eventually went with the 205/60/15 Yokohama ES100's... which are slightly undersized, but I can't say enough about these tires. They rock. They weight 22 lbs, and with the rims weighing in at 11.5 lbs, that makes the total wheel combo 33.5 lbs... which is about 10 lbs of unsprung weight off each corner, and trust me you can definitely feel it under accelleration and braking.
I got a lot of new pics on my PC at home, but Ive just been ultra-busy lately. I'll upload them here soon.

Thanks to you of course
I honestly had doubts about how it would look on my car after I ordered it. It is not my #1 choice as far as lips go, but I had to consider availability and also the lead time in getting it shipped. As you might know, my neighbour backed into my fender a month back, so I figured Id get a lip installed and painted while Im at it, and after a lot of though, I went with the RMM lip. I didnt think I would like it to be honest, but now I can't picture the car without it.
And you were right about the functionality of it... no doubt the car feels more stable at high speeds on the highway. Downforce on the front of a FWD car =
