Exclamation ATTN: Camry Owners with HID kits!!

Question:

Did you just plug your kit into the factory harness, or did you buy an upgrade harness?

I have mine directly plugged into my factory harness, but in the past I have used upgraded harnesses because my HIDs would flicker when connected directly to the factory wires.

I use Factory Harness for almost a year now, 2000 LE, no problem so far. I will finally be able to get the same headlight you got so no more glare, well at least a lot less. Here's my car
Sorry no pics of the HID, I'll take it when I have the new headlight

My Camry

I dont know man, you may want to hold out for these:

I just ordered a pair, and at $149, I can't loose. They should be here on Friday and I'll give an update on the beam pattern and some pics to go along with them.

I wanted to get it too, but not sure how it would be with HID. I figure since the headlight you got have pretty good beam pattern, I'll use it for now. Hey maybe I just buy it and put some projector in like Silver Streak. Love to see some pictures when you get the new light install.

I use the factory harness. I have a CATZ kit which has a seperate ignitor from the ballast, and Ive never gotten one flicker in the past 3 months.

Factory harness here, but I had to wire a separate relay or sometimes only ONE HID would turn on.

Sometimes if I crank my car with the headlights already on, my HID's would flicker and one headlight would go out. But 99% of the time I will have no problems with the factory harness. BTW, I have the Philips kit.

Well Tony, what I was worried about is, someone mentioned to me that if I dont upgrade my harness........my wires will eventually fry and void my warranty. Now I'm wondering because I'm starting to have these little electrical problems:

A) My "tail lamp out" dash indicator is on, but none of my tail lamps or signals are out.

B) Up and Down motion on my power seats stopped working.

C) My second 12v outlet does not work.
