HELP: Question on taillight indicator & other Electrical Problems!!! - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

Ok yall:

I don't know if anyone else has seen this light......but on my instrument cluster, this little orange light just started popping up indicating that I have a tail lamp that's out........but I checked all of my lights and they are all functioning.

Also the indicator doesn't come on as soon as I start the car......only when I begin to put the car in drive or reverse...then it stays on untill I turn the car off.

Any guesses? is this a typical Gen 4.5 problem?

Also, on another topic:

My up/down position on my power seat does not work.........every other position works fine, anyway to fix this?

I'm hoping all these electrical problems aren't tied to my HID install.....because on top of these two problems, my second 12v outlet went out..all this in the last 3 weeks,

don't worry too much about having the little light on your dash on....it won't do anything.....

as long as you know that your lights are fine, then don't worry....could be just a bad ground.

mine has the same problems, but it started after I removed the rear deck to put some sound dampening in, and I'm sure that I knocked some grounds loose when I was shoving it back in....

but eitherway, I've removed my center brake bulbs now w/o using resistors, so it'd have th problem anyway.....

I just kinda ignore it now.

I have the same issue every now and then, just at random it seems to come on, i think it's linked to my voltage cause it was back when i was running my system hard with all my neons and lights and stuff on. Usually when my neons are on. But i haven't been able to figure it out either and i got a gen 3.5!

I was thinking it had something to do with my HID kit.

I read some where a while back that HID kits(aftermarket) triggers warning light on the Ins. panel. I guess that due to the low power consumpsion, the car thinks that both headlights are blown. This is for auto's in general. That problem could also be a busted wire by the left side of the trunk(green/white???). I had that problem in my 92.

You know, it could be HID's cause i have htem too, but i belvieve i started noticning that light before i got my hids, but i only had a week between getting neons and getting HIDs so i don't remember.
