Pulling my dash

I'm about to pull my dash out to replace my gauges in my '99, and I was curious if anyone who had done it had any pointers or things to watch out for. I'm also working on a trim kit, so if anyone who has done that either has any hints, let me know.

its actually pretty simple and straightforward to do...just unscrew screws and unplug the gauge cluster and you are good to go.
i have a carbon fiber bezel around my gauges and i changed my bulbs so my cluster lights up red at nite

where do you live in TX? i live in dallas. what gen camry do you have? i have a black '99 gen 4

good luck and post pics when you're done

later,
Keri

take your time pulling out the dash part. i got a little over-anxious about getting mine off that i broke some of the tabs that held it in place. like ripley said, its very straightfoward. it took me about an hour to get the dash off the first time since i had no idea what i was doing. now i could get it in and out in about 20 minutes

When you did your carbon fiber bezel, did you put any sort of adhesive primer or anything on the bezel, or did you simply peel the back off and stick it on?

i just heated up the carbon fiber with a hair dryer a little bit so it would be flexible, but i just used the self-adhesive stuff that was already there.
mine has been on about 6 months now and seems to be holding just fine. hope this helps.

later,
Keri
