I am smoking Windo Weld...

... or at least my hands will be for the next 2 years That stuff is F'ING S T I C K Y! Damn! Heh!

Well yep, what I did with muh super urathane...

Worked out nicely... had to fabricate that 3 in 1 putty tool to shave the decomposing rubber out of the motor mount.

Thanks Rezzle for the heads up, if you guys can see, its CRACKING! Its been getting worse and worse, rahter quickly, anybody have a coolant overflow tank they wanna sell me? I need one badly! Thank you!

----------

I don't think that Windo Weld will be coming off my hands for at least a couple days... that Super-Urathane worked out really good, I made sure to not have any airbubbles... and it has been drying to perfection for almost 36 hours now... I am gonna go take this gurl for a another ride, so I gotta put 'er back on later today... (Chris Corolla S, you know what I am talking about! HEH HEH!)

(PS. Damn, I have been stealing everyones ideas lately, ehh ohh well, my mom always said, imatation is the finest form of flattery, or something like that! hee hee!)

Lates guys!

Hmm...looks like I will be doing that later as well

Anyway, have you tried using acetone to remove the window weld off your hands? It is a bit harsh on your skin, but I am sure it will remove the gunk off your hands

Welcome.

Not many things are harder on an engine than running out of coolant.

I check my oil every time 'I' fill up, prolly every third fill or so cuz its my wifes car. But I also give all the other fluids a quick once over. It only takes an extra 30 seconds to a minute.

I swear to god, I used NON-DILUTED High-performance paint thinner, and picked up a CAN OF ACETONE from ACE Hardware, and that shit IS STILL ON MY HANDS TODAY! What was even worse, I have plenty "engine-cuts" all over my hands and especially my knuckles, omg... that shit made me wanna scream when I rubbed it all over my hands... even under freezing cold water, it felt like they were on fire! Damn, be careful with that shit!

what does this gain you? why do it? isnt it rubberized for a reason? to allow for engine vibrations and stuff? Hey 88LE, please school me up on this one.

Yes the stock mounts are rubberized, but theres gaps and the mounts do break overtime (the rubber rips, cracks, etc...)

By filling them in you make the mounts solid. 3M Windo Weld is like rubber when it dries so it still flexes like the stock mounts, but not as much.

Gains are less wheel hop and smoother shifting. The engine doesn't move as much.

The only downside is more vibration at idle due to the mounts being stiffer.
