car starts and then dies...

so I was checking out my fuel system today to make sure everything was ok, so i pulled the assembly out of the tank... checked the pump and filter and regulator, everything looked good, so i put it back, and the only other thing i did was disconnect the top line from the fuel filter under the hood, and put everything back... now the car starts for a few seconds, but then dies, like chokes itself out... I dont know whats wrong, and its got me going crazy! when the key is in the on position i hear this clicking noise from the ACIS vacuum switch valve, it stops after about a minute though, if anybody can help me, I would greatly appeciate it!

i doubt it...I think it may be the fuel filter, because i was getting poor performance before and i think relieving the pressure, now it cant get enough fuel period, it may be clogged?? ... it starts then chokes out... doesnt ever get above like 500 rpm...

Have you checked the EGR valve? I was having some problems with my 92 camry and just got it back from the shop. My car stopped stalling and my power was regained. It cost about $300us to fix if I can recall correctly.
