interior trim?

I already tried to do a search on this one but came up emptyhanded- I'm trying to take off the trim around the instrument cluster on my gen2; it's the big piece which also goes around the defrister/ hazard switches. I took off all the screws hidden on the underside of the panel (i think there were like five of them) and tried to pull it off, but it felt like there were still a bunch of clips holding it in. I just reinstalled the screws and decided not to try it, fearing I might break something inside. Has anyone done this before? Also, the clear plastic around my gauges is getting kinda scratched up... any recommendations on how to make it look a little better except for replacing it? Thanks

plastic thing on mine got armor all on it and is pretty screwed, i have no chice except to replace it.

you are right. there is like 2 clips on the left side and 1 on the right. the screws are all up underneath where you said. just get a firm grip and tug slowly teh clips will come out. don't pull to far though because there is wires plug into the back (ie: hazard, cruise, etc.) unlip all the plugs and it should be free.

tip lower the tilt on your sterring wheel for better acces.

goodluck
