Keyless Entry

Don't laugh.... I am a noob and never had keyless entry before. Do they usually last through the life of the vehicle? I press it once, it beeps twice. I press it twice, it beeps four times (for all doors to be opened). Sometimes it beeps six times though. I thought it was weird that it beep six times. Just wondering if it was normal for the keyless entry to malfunction or whatever....

Is it normal for keyless entry to go out after a while? Can't you get that fixed?

I would say that the battery in the remote would die out pretty soon if you use it alot, but I dont know about the actual system failing.
