side view mirror installation

Hi everyone,

I somehow found my left side view mirror hanging from it's original position and just recently got a new replacement. I'm having a problem, however, with installing the new part. How and where do I even begin??????????

Thank you in advance for any help!

What car is this?

Pull of the panel inside of the mirror and there are some bolt holding it down.

wiring

I did, but the electrical thread is too far down inside the door panel for me too pull out and reinsert. Do I have to take off the whole door panel in order to do this?

I have a '96 toyota camry.

When I switched the mirror on my 2000, the connection was right there when I took the mirror off. Maybe the Gen3 is different - I've never worked on one.
