I just got struts and springs put in, I need your insight =)
I just got my Eibach 1.6" and Tokico's put in my Gen 4 and it rides excellent with minimal bounciness.
The rear has 1 finger and pretty much no gap if any. The front has 3 fingers and still a visible gap. Now, it's been a week of installation and the springs were bought used for a month of usage. Is there more of a settling down time? Or is that it?
I want to get the front to be close to how the rear is, should I buy lower springs for the front and leave the back?
Also, I am planning on putting on some 18"s later on and would that get rid of the front gap? if so i will wait on that before i make any more purchasing decisions on changing the front springs.
I will show you guys pics ASAP some time this week.
camrys just sit that like....if you make the fender gap in the front the same as it is in the rear.....the bottom of the car in the front will sit really low to the ground.
also.....when you get wheels it will fill up the space in teh wheel well a bit more.....my 19's took up alot of space.......now i only have 1.5 fingers in the front and i'm tucking about 2 fingers in the back
From what I've seen the only way you can get the front to sit like the back is by getting lowering springs in the front, preferrably 1.8" drop, then cut them. I have 1.8's at all four corners. My 18's tuck in the back but I don't have 18's in the front but I know there will still be a gap of atleast 2 fingers or about an 1". I'm thinking of getting 18's in the front, then cutting the front springs a half a coil or so just to make the front look better, but then you sacrifice ride quality and spring quality.

and bigger wheels won't do anything as long as you still got the right sized tires for your car....or at least they're not supposed to.....it's all just an optical illusion.....
but try taking the spare out of your trunk too...it'll raise the back a bit and even out the drop. other than that, there's not much you can do unless you get different front springs...

If you got a V6, get the 4-cyl version for your car if you want the front to sit lower. The rear springs are the same for both 4 and 6 cylinder models.
Im running Eibachs in the rear, and 4-cyl H&R's in the front... pretty damn even drop. However, because of how the Camry chassis is designed, it still looks like it has a slight rake to it, even if the fender gap is the same in the front and back.

Exactly, I feel like I am going "hot-rod style" right now... heh!
sounds kinda stupid that way, doesn't it?? the 6s get screwed ....
Not really...cuz i got coilovers! but the ride sucks in them, even with tokicos. I am running drag style too. but since i have smaller tires up front and 225's in the back the gap is level tires in the rear and i have a 1 1/2" inch gap in the front due to the 215's. But i should be getting 225's all around soon (just waiting to wear out these 215's) and plan on adjusting the front down a little bit more. Then I should have all around even gap leveled with the top portion of the tires.
225 and 215 are the tire width not the height of the tire. The next 2 numbers are the height of the tires. Ie 225/XX/17. I'm rolling on 235/40/18 in the back. I'm thinking of switching to 225's also cause my 235 rubbed in the back. I had to roll my fenders the ghetto way but things worked out well and now I can use 235's all around. :p

ive got a perfectly even front to back finger gap now, it doesnt look like the car is sitting forward at all. a steady 1.5 all the way around, i couldnt be happier i had the exact same complaint as you, more gap in front as back. there are always ways around it- i found out by trial and error
i used whiteline springs on front, intrax rear, and tokico blues... speakin of i gotta get some pics of the new setup.
jon
edit: and btw alex, you dont need 19s to fill out the fender- you just have to ride it a lil bit lower. i will end up getting some lighter than average 18s to comprimise, but for now the 17s w/ a slightly bigger tire fill it up jest fine
