hey guys tomorrow my car is in the shop for my dual exhausts to get installed,
I own a gen3 v6 4 door camry, how much am i looking at for dual exhaust, y pipe and stainless pipe???
i paid a total of 160 for install, then another 40 to get the resonator put in. i had to cut out part of the spare wheel well myself, the exhaust place wouldnt touch it. since its offset to the left, it gets in the way of the second muffler with the shogun kit muffler placement
y let the collector combine the exhaust from both exhaust header then split it back out with a Y pipe when u can just have the headers go straight to their own cats, they're own resonators, and finallly their own mufflers? may not be enough room but to me this makes more sense for more performance

hmm... that is a damn good point... it probably wouldnt be that hard either.. only thing is its going to be hella loud. you wouldnt want to run it more than 2" per pipe on a v6, if its turbo 3" would be cool too
that would eliminate the problem of the stock ypipe. only problem is, where does the O2 sensor go?? maybe an X pipe to cross the 2 pipes, and the sensor tapped in the middle of the x...
sorry, i don't know much about this, but wouldn't an O2 on just one be good enough? i mean what does o2 measure for? i know oxygen, but what's the purpose? i'm guessing it's to see if the a/f mixture is correct, in which case one side would be good, right?
how do they do it on cars with straight pipes? two o2 sensors, or what?
That was with the mufflers too? How does it sound?
Nope that was just for the piping plus installation. I have two Hayame XT2 mufflers which I purchased seperately. Sounds amazingly nice. Not excessively loud either, which is either a plus or minus depending on your point of view.

Yeah but if he puts 2 res's in that would make it quite there for more Pony's (for a v6)

its your spare wheel well... i had to cut part of mine myself before the exhaust place would do it. its not hard you just need some sort of metal cutter and then you go in and take out the spare wheel well.. for now i have my spare in the trunk, but when i get new rims ill have a full size spare, and it will be mounted in the trunk.
its because the spare wheel well is offset to the left side of the car. it is not the trunk itself, but its essential to mod it if you want to run a second muffler.
Just buy 2 exhausts and have a muffler shop install them. The spare tire well will get in the way of the second muffler so you might have to cut it out or bang it in as stated before. I didn't want my exhausts too loud so I didn't go catback and I just went stock pipping with 2 1/4 pipping at end. Sounds incredible. Its too good to be true.
