E.L. Prototypes gen. 2 CAI installed

Well, yesterday I finally got my cold air intake in from E. L. Prototypes. The wait was UNBEARABLE. As soon as I got home from work I installed it. But it took a lot longer than I thought it would.

Anyway, onto the good stuff. When I was removing the stock air intake setup, I didn't even know that big black box thing in the driver's side fender existed! (the one above the fenderwell mudguard.)

Anyways, I removed all that stuff, and then put on the pipes and clamped 'em together, but geez, I sure had a bitch of a time getting the pipe that snakes down into that hole in there. I ended up having to bend the hole some so the pipe would fit. Maybe I did something wrong? In any case, it's installed, and it works nicely. The intake sound is louder and has a somewhat deep tone. Makes my lil' 3S-FE engine sound a little tougher! Overall I'm very pleased and happy with it. Now all I need is an exhaust setup and it'll be even better!

You didn't do anything wrong. The hole is to small.

I cut out the hole larger on my gen 2.
