Exclamation )))) Warranty Breakers/voiding???

What are some things that could void your warranty?

I need to take my car in to get the transmission checked, and I'm wondering if I need to take my HID kit out temporarily.

Well, technically, none of your modifications affect your warranty unless they play a role in some sort of malfunction. Despite this, many dealers wont touch your vehicle just for being modified. It really depends on the dealer. Ive had some that wont even touch my car because it is modified, while others have had no problem with it. It really just all depends.

What type of mods do you have?

All I did was add an HID kit, replace the headlamp and tail lamp housings.

with ur mods, they're afraid that after they do their fixes/checks/whatever, that you'll try to claim they broke something that you installed yourself.

A lot of garages have this type of problem, PEP boys even got sued

Well, I don't mind them telling me they can't look at it because of my modz.........I just dont want to take it in and they look at it, then tell me that "unfortunantly your warranty has to be voided" etc. etc.
