I've been noticing this for a while, and this is prob a dumb question,

but how come for the gen4 camry, some have slanted taillights? and some have them straight?

sorry if one of these is ur car.. if you mind, ill take them off as soon as i get an answer,

Shoot, back to Camry 101 for you. The top pic was the first couple years of Gen-4, the bottom, the last years.

Bottom one is the last two years, actually

Gen4.0 = 1997 to 1999
Gen4.5 = 2000 to 2001

The 4.5's had the modified front bumper/grille, multi-reflector headlights (and a different high/low/DRL setup), and the crystal clear and a little larger taillights (they're also much brighter due to the different reflector design)... and other stuff I'm surely forgetting.
