i was thinking of the type with a dozen little bolts around, oops

i wouldn't buy a 10$ socket just for that though, channel locks would do the job

Theres 4 big nuts on the valve cover. They screw onto the top of the sparkplug tubes.

A left handed metric cresent wrench will also work if you don't have a 30mm socket.

For only "$10" you might as well just buy the right tool to begin with... chances are you'll use it again.

He's going to pull the valve cover off to take a pic of the cams.

Anyways the nuts holding the valve cover are 30mm. I remember going to Sears and buying a 30mm socket.

I dun gots me one of them left handed adjustable wrenches offun E-Bay only cost me 35 dollars. Guy I bought it from said they costs 50. He waid it was a wittleworth though. Where can I gets a metric one?

I dun gots some left handed spanner pliers too from the same guy.

I am so happy I can now work with both hands.

When I used to be the test bay foreman where I work I had a running gag similar to that.

When we found something miswired and the wire was just a few inches short I would send the new technologists back to the electrical dept. foreman to get his "wire stretcher" that he had in the lockup.

Oh ya .. 30 mm is correct.
