about my turbo camry

3vz turbo -12psi for three month
the head gasket blown kaaaaaaaa booooooooooo
(radiator's water over flooded the engine oil--yummy chocolate milk.)

it took me a week to pull the head out and replace the head gaskets.

the piston look ok.
it had some kind of weird heat coated on it. lucky me

it was bitch to reseat the valve.

the car is now running but need some tunning. Wish me luck.
if u want a turbo camry hahaha make sure u know how to fix ur own car or else money money money..

here is the stuff that will fail
above 7psi

head gasket
intake imanifold gasket
vavle cover gasket
distrubitor o ring
air flow meter (the black cap will fly out) what happen u run lean and might miss fire
oxygen sensor
egr gasket
idle speed controll (might go bad)
stock injector will make weird loud noise
fuel pump might go if it stock
all vacum hose
spark plug wire

make sure u get all of this fix befor ethe turbo.
or more if u want. and u might be ready for running 10 psi for every day drive

here is some good info for people who want to bypass the AC compressor without taking it out, incase u want AC back.
Use belt size: 21mmX955mm with six grooves.
Free torques and HP.

That's odd... it seems like all those above parts are failing on your Camry because they are old and need replacing anyway.

For the Idle speed controller/valve, you should be placing a one way check valve to stop it from being exposed to pressure. All the solenoids and sensors that aren't supposed to see boost must have a check valve to stop the boosted air.

Does the 3VZ-FE pistons have a type of ceramic heat coating like the 1MZ's? Does your pistons have a similar type of coating?

Anyway, other than just occasional "briefings" about your car, when are you going to start showing some real stuff? Like dyno plots or dyno vids, in-car vids, more pics of your car other than those old crappy pics that used to be on your Geocities site... you know, your car needs some new media

You have to put the AFM before the turbo. Having it after the turbo was also causing your fuel pump to be pumping at full all the time and that's what probably caused it to die.

Uhh...there is a moly coat at the piston skirt and a ceramic-type coat and at the top for the 1MZ-FE pistons... in case you didn't see the pic clearly.

Just wondering how did you know that you had coating on the skirts on your 3VZ pistons by just peaking at the top of the engine (with the head removed)?

Anyway, will you be sharing some new pics/info on your Camry? You sort of ignored my statement regarding media of your car... At least make an excuse or something if you plan to keep everything to yourself

Well when we first wanted to do my turbo we almost did the same thing. Then I talked to a lot of people and realized how fragile those things are and how easily they break, I already broke one

Yup.

I saw some pics of his setup and wondered why he had the AFM between the turbo and throttle body.

You want the AFM connected to the compressor inlet on the turbo. In other words before the turbo.

The AFM on 3S-GTE, 7M-GTE, 2JZ-GTE, etc.. is setup this way.
