Why don't we get this in North America?

http://www.leftlanenews.com/toyota-l...rd-aurion.html

Even if we don't get a proper TRD version, can't we at least get a supercharger like that for NA versions of the Camry?

Look at one of the comments:

Quote:
Why does it take 6.1 seconds yo hit 62 m.p,h, . Since this is based off the camry, I would guess they would weigh somewhat the same, yet Car and driver posted 0-60 times of 5.8 seconds in the naturally aspirated V-6 camry. So, Australians, are you really gonna pay extra for a slower car? Unless this car has way better handling, one would have to be pretty stupid to buy it

Whoever that recorded it probably sucks or they are releasing conservative numbers. I doubt it does it in 6.1 when the Gen 3 V6 can do it in 6.9

No way 6.9 stock, when I tested mine I got 8.21, and it seems like most others got the same or similar speed (on the Gen 3 1MZ that is).

I think 6.9 was manual 3VZ? I'm not sure. I just heard of that number some where.

Oh maybe, I had the auto which increases the time quite a bit.

Too bad they didn't show a power graph. Because at 329 ponies, that quite a bit more than my regular V6...so why 6.2 seconds? lol
And by god why make a sporty trd version and not equip it with a manual.

Who knows, high end torque might be more promising. Races dont end at 62 mph I like the ls460 mimick of the tail pipes though

Cause it's a camry. I wish I could get a SE v6 with a manual. And considering a lot of young people seem to be interested in this new camry you think Toyota would wake up and make it with a manual. I hate automatics. Toyota is so comcerned with their "Green" image in North America that we will never see the nicer cars other markets get. Die Greenpeace and Al " I fly all over the world in a private jet but I own my own carbon offset company which will be a proven scam in a few years and live in a house that consumes 5 times for more electricity than the average home but I won an award for my movie" Gore die.

It's not really a Camry, because those countries have the Camry as well. This is to replace the Avalon, but it's more sporty, although it's $45K price tag is a bit high.
