Vvtli

This maybe a stupid question, but I'm a Newbie so that's my job...

Is there any way that a VVTI or VVTLI can be swapped into a 95 camry LE???

And what tranny would be good for it?

VVT-i is a great system (I've got it on my 2003 V-6), but I'm not sure it would be worth the effort and money to retrofit. Also, I'm not sure what you're referring to by "VVTLI". Both current Camry engines (or should I now say all three Camry engines) are VVT-i equipped, and as far as I know, the system operates the same, conceptually I mean, in each of two V-6s and the I-4. Having had both VVT-i and non-VVT-i powered Camrys, I feel and appreciate the difference. That said, if I were looking to spend $ on a power upgrade to a non-VVT-i car, I'd probably look for a turbo or S/C mod. My guess is that you'd get more bang for the buck. Also, I've not heard of anyone retrofitting VVT-i. Tell us more, please, so we can better respond.
