broken shift cable

my front/back shift cable finally died today, car got stuck in 4th and i drove it straight into toyota. they are charging me an arm and a leg for labor and the part. i said whatever i just want my shifter to feel right again.

kind of a smack in the face after waiting for carl crawfords shifter bushings for about a week now... dont know whats up with that. bad luck streak i guess!!!

did you already install the bushings???

maybe thats what cause the line to break, no flex/give


i hope thats not the case cause i just installed those brass bushing this week

no, my bushings havent even arrived after a week!!! im starting to get irritant. not that it really matters till about monday when i get the car back!

yeah my bushings took about 2 weeks,

he said he ships once a week so depending when you placed your order i can take up to 2.5 weeks to arrive espcially if your in canada like me.

oh yeah and on the instuctions its says that you need to reuse a washer on the lower arm but mine didnt has room for it , anyone elses like that????

Hey guys not sure whats up with the line breakin Jon but I told you that you wanted to replace everything when u get the bushings because thats what I did and Im happy as hell! Sorry it broke though man unexpected quick fix kill your wallet!

As for the bushings I think I got myn in 3 to 4 days, and no hassel! So Im not sure whats up with the late delivery, all I know is its worth the wait for that cheep of a great mod!

BTW I left the washer off too! No problems works fine probably just a typo or something in the directions.

ill just be very happy to have a 100% functional shifter again!!! cant wait! then im going straight over to sean's garage to install all new strut mounts, bearings, and lower spring seats (which are in my possession). next mod will be a strut tower bar (can you believe i dont already have one???) and then a stage II clutch.

hopefully those bushings get in either today or monday- it would be so sick to have a completely revamped shifter feel... just in time for the TRD shortshifter.

Sounds like your following in my foot steps just nicely thats everything ive done so far plus some other mods but your doing exactly what I did!


BTW sean the chamber kit is on and the suspension is finally finished!!!!!!!
