I have a 95 camry LE, I-4 AUTO (BUMMER!!!), and I'd like to know what engine swap options I have for max HP and power, not to mention which one would be a good base for future modifications: Turbos, etc.

Um here's what most people think and agree with: It's not worth it for a Camry. You could find many other cars that are much easier to do stuff with. Camrys will need a lot of custom fabrication which means it'll just end up costing a lot more and taking more time.

if you ask a stupid question you get a stupid answer...
if you are truly interested in this, go do some research, look around see what engines people have done. see what it took for them to do the swap...
Any swap you do is going to cost tons of money, and you will have to learn some stuff about your car and your motor and the motor that is going in.
There are a few choices when deciding what to do about your engine...
either way you go you will want to swap out your auto tranny for a manual for some more power and control. ($1200)
1. Turbo your 5sfe ($1500-$2500)
--- kit from burien toyota
--- make your own kit
--- kit from shiftgate performance once they get into production...
2. Swap to 3s-gte ($3000-$5000)
--- tough to do, you need new motor mounts(custom), custom wiring, custom piping, ecu (preferably stand alone engine computer)
--- The Wraith is going to sell a kit with motor mounts, wiring and ecu in the near future... but you still need to buy the engine.
3. sell your car, buy a V6 camry with a manual tranny. ($ maybe 1000 more than what you get from yours?)
--- or you can go MY route and swap your 5sfe auto to a 3vzfe manual with a turbo setup and custom exhaust. ($4000-$6000) This is very tough to do, cause first of all nobody makes a turbo kit for the engine, shiftgate will soon. I HOPE!! I may just end up putting one together myself. And its tough cause you need to do a lot of work to get the 4cyl car to mate with the v6 engine. I am rebuilding the v6 right now, and when i am done with that i will put it back together and then when i have the turbo setup i will install it all into my car... sheesh it is going to be TOUGH!
4. sell your camry and buy a different car with a powerful engine in it already.
he asked about a brand new 3sgte. I know it was really stupid of my when i went to the dealers. i might just get rid of this tiny ct26 and get something else. T88?

there is no such thing as a NEW 3sgte. they arent in production... you can import one from japan with low milage or find one at a junkyard with low milage, but its a tough search in the US. You can always rebuild one, or get one that is rebuilt.
