how do you tightened the strut nut in the mounting

how do you guys tightened the nut of the strut inside the strut mounting?
i tried to tightened it but it also moves as i turn it
is there a proper way of doing this
do i need sa special tool so that it wont move when I turn it?

yes....it's called an impact gun


otherwise, you can install the strut/spring on to the car and then fully tighten it

just to add in....with the help of an impact gun, I changed BOTH of my front springs in less than an hour!

okey will try the impact wrench this weekend.
have bought monroe quickstruts but i think the left side is kinda loose
i hear sound when i hit potholes and speedbumps
when i install them i didnt tightened the bolt in the strut
i just put the whole thing in maybe thats what makes the noise...

I could be that. You never know if things are tightened down properly when the come pre assembled. Could also be your sway bar link on that side.

your right. i already replaced my sway bar bushing on both side. maybe its only the bolt on my struts.
