Hey guys okay I got my new gauges for my pillar pods that I had made and was going to sell but Meiser beat me to it....Lol!!!! Anyway Im hooking up the gauges and I am not sure which sensor is the oil(3vz-fe engine FYI if you didnt know)....the water temp was easy to hook up but I have no idea where the oil temp sensor is. Could someone please point it out in a pic or just describe where it is and what wire I need to hook up the gauge to? I looked in the Haynes man. but no luck there!!
Also does anyone know the standard running temp for the 3vz engine?
by the way, it is actually the back of the block, in the car... my engine is OF COURSE out of the car on an engine stand. that pic is a shot of the rear bank side.
Yeah Im trying to install my oil temp gauge. So there is no oil temp sensor on a camry okay then what do I need to do to get one, or install this gauge? Because I have the gauges and dont want to waste them?
Also the water temp gauge is on the left side facing the engine...towards the bottom of the engine on the silver pipe where the water enters the engine right?

Unscrew the oil pressure switch and get a fitting the screws into the block where the oil pressure switch use to go. The threads are metric (not sure what size x pitch).
Then get a brass T fitting and splice everything together. One end to block, oil pressure switch, and guage.
