ok my sister just f'ed up the front end of our camry and i was thinking for a while to change the hood and headlghts to the es300 .... about a year or 2 ago there a was about 2 threads on that but i never checked back on them and they got delete when i went to check back .... i know in this swap to use the es300 headlights you have to use the es300 hood ...i was also wondering about the side fenders. are the side lamps there the same size as the lexus??? also with the change over the es300 hood is the latch system the same??... thanks to all that that help me with this and i'll put pictures when ever i get them!
lol we tell her that everyday... when ever says anything about getting another car we just tell her go and buy it your self or shut up and drive what ever is out there.
he didnt say she was fed up with it.. he said she F'ed it up!...
the conversion isnt as easy as getting the headlights corner lights and hood, you have to get those parts, and then see what fits and what doesnt, then do a load of body work to make the corner lights fit into the body, OR get the lexus fenders too...
WAIT A SEC... shouldnt we know what year this is....???? i was talking about gen 3 camry here... ive heard its easier to convert gen 2 camry to lexus es 250 right?
sorry about not listing the year but yur right with the gen 3 tho it's a 96...... well i havent fully seen the damage yet my sister is in maimi right now and i get to work on it next week when she gets back ... oh ya the accident happend down there so i havent seen it yet ... from what i can tell the driver side light have to be replaced and i dont know about the fender i might just pick up 2 juck yard fenders and side light (i hate old head lights because of the yellowing plastic that they use) i'll have to seen how much all this will cost and if i can find the parts ... and thanks for the info homes
anythings possible, but i believe the es300 stayed a little wider while the camry got a little thinner appearance. i could be wrong, but as far as if it will fit or not, your guess is as good as mine.
