Hey guys I was wondering if any of you would be interested in a group buy for the Aquamist S1 kit...Here's a link for you guys who want to research before buying...AquaMist ...I talk to the biggest distributor of the aquamist systems... And he has a Saab boosting 27psi with the Aquamist S2 system on 87octane... Basically what it does is raises the octane of gas by 46%. But he said he has had s/c'ed guys running 16psi and only boosting 13psi due to the charge being cooled down sooo much...

Okay here's the low down. We need a minimum of 10people to make the price go down.

Basic Kit. S1 system= (RETAIL)$460.00 (GROUP BUY)$360.00

Stage 2. 2c system= (RETAIL)$650.00 (GROUP BUY)$520.00

Basically the stage one (S1)kit is manually activated and the Stage two kit ( 2c) is the self activating ( with Boost and Engine load) is for high Impedance Injectors ( the ones on the 1MZ-FE) is the kit to go ... But anyway I'm planning on buy one later on ... Dont worry I dont gain anything for this because I'm not buying with the group buy ... This will help out and will cure some of your problems... Let me know at RippSpeed@yahoo.com... Peace.

It can use the same fluid on your windshield washer fluid. Methanol can also be used for better cooling in area that have snow fall...

I'll resurrect this thread. Sounds like the GB I ran in the VW forum. I too went through Brad of George's Imports http://www.kcsaab.com .

I've upgraded to the 2c kit, which ties into a fuel injector and pulses the water at the same rate as the injector. The result is better control over the water. (I say water, but it's actually windshield washer fluid.)

For SC'd apps that can't be intercooled, this is the best answer to handling detonation, etc.

yes this kit is very good. Basically, you'll lose a couple pounds of boost because of the denser air... But after finding and doing some r&d on a S/C Solara with this kit. The 1mz-fe engine is too weak to handle this upgrade. The 1mz-fe test pig snapped a rod and broke thru the cylinder walls... This is the one of the main reason why I lost all my respect for the 1mz-fe motor.
Basically, you'll lose a couple pounds of boost because of the denser air.

I'm new to toyotas. Is the engine you referred to the 3.0 V6 in the camary/solara? I know TRD offered an Eaton charger for the solara and trucks.

I have a VW 2.0 four cylinder engine with the Neuspeed Supercharger (another Eaton application) and am pushing 9 psi on stock compression (10:1). I added the Aquamist to gain back timing at the high end under WOT. I have it start to squirt around 6 psi (~4500 rpms). I am also using the .5mm jet.

The benefit is that when I'm about to hit a flat spot, the water comes on and the car continues to pull to redline (6800 rpms). I'm quite impressed with the Aquamist and like the added measure of safety it offers.

You're right about losing a little boost because of the cooling affect the water has, but boost alone is only a single datapoint. Air density, temperature and pressure are what make a difference.
