yup, i'd say get your rotors checked for warping. thats usually the case when you get shaking while braking...

Usually if the car or steering wheel shakes while braking, your rotor is warped. You can either machine them or get new ones to alleviate the issue.

You dont say exactly how bad the vibration is, and am not too sure of the suspension setup of your car. If its minor, then it might be your rotors / brake disks. However, if it is quite violent, with the whole car feeleing as if its falling appart, then it must be worn tie rod ends and ball joints. I once bought an old Mercedes 300E (W124) and on my first test drive, i got the shock of my life after braking to stop at the traffic lights. Fortunately, i was with a mechanic-friend who told me that it felt like an earth trmor, but was relatively easy and cheap to fix.

Just my 2cents
