Hello

I dont know what took me so long to join a toyota forum, but anyways, here I am. I've had a 92' 4-cyl since 2001. Havent done too much to her, but once and a while I do some little customizing projects. Also I do most all the maintenance and repair of the car. Has 120k mi. The most noticable change is the grill, which I cut apart and fiberglassed back together, While I was at it, I added the mesh and being a previous Honda owner, I felt the urge to make an aftermarket looking front emblem. Basically filled the emblem with epoxy and painted the back, black pearl. Wasnt easy, at all. On the rear(sorry no pic), I stripped the chrome off all the emblems and painted them flat black. Also put a black chrome exhaust tip on, to finish off the back. Over all I like the look, I just wish I could afford rims.

I look foward to discussing all there is camry.

p.s. yeah I know I need to polish my lenses, I had them looking good a year ago.

I'm not really sure what your looking at, because from the picture he posted all I see is a silver Toyota logo with a black background.

The car looks good BTW

the chrome is exposed and polished. I take a pic of it but my front end it a little more then buggy right now. It basically is a emblem with a black background, just that it's filled in, instead of just a back on it.

Today I'm trying to upgrade my lights to 9005 Sylvania Silverstar 65W bulbs. I think that's one of biggest complaints with the car....the lights suck. I know I change to clear lenses, but that's money I dont have right now.

When I used to deliver pizzas, I would add driving lights (fog lights, whatever) and then raise the regular lights up just a tad so that there was very little overlap. You'd be amazed at the difference.

That's the best way to start... I have 9005 SilverStars as low beams and high beams and I like them just like that.

I like your grill too, and the mesh just sticks out and really makes the front end look good.

Funny you guys brought up aiming the lights. I did aim them up a bit, as one of the lights was aimed way too low anyways. The bulbs make an amazing difference, not even just for driving but they look great. I also bought some pilot fog lights. I know theyre not the best but they were cheap and fairly easy to install. I ended up putting them behind the lower mesh grill. I'm really not into the blue tint these companies are making the fog lights, being the attention they'd get from the police. So I hid them, it is white light though. The car looks quite sinister with the new bulbs and fog lights.

I've got a funny story for why I finally upgraded the lights. I work about 40minutes away and have to travel on a local road that goes through several towns and farms. Usually I'm on the look out for deer on my way home at ~11pm. The other night, I see a car ahead coming at me with its hazards on. Some lights of the car keep getting obstructed and he's going from one lane to another. I'm doing about 65mph and keep slowing as I approach. The car leaves the road..... I cant see a thing. I pass the car and all of a sudden there's a freakin cow right in front of me....in fact there's 5 cows that must have gotten loose and were just standing there.
Needless to say I would have liked to have seen them sooner.
