I need info on changing cv axel

Please!!!

I need some info on swapping both axels on a 90' camry
I think it is the dx model.

I understand the need to remove brake calipers and swing the susp stuff out of way.

1.But I really want to know if it is as easy as pulling the axel out and puting new ones in.

2. what side should I start with?

thanks
any info greatly appreciated, must start very soon...........

Well, the hard part is getting the strut outta they way. First take jack the front end, or the whole car, onto jackstands. remove whatever wheel on the side you are working on. then take off the calipers and the "pad holder". If my emory serveds me right, u shud be able to remove the rotor. then its just a matter of removing the right suspension parts so that you can pull out the axle.

The hard part of this is all the crap u gotta get outta the way to get it off. IF u got a 4 Cyl, u shud have like 6-8 nuts on the end of the axel that goes into the transmission. Thats all u gotta do to take that end off. Just be careful when you put everything back in. I put mine in a little wierd into the wheel bearing which meant that i had to get a new wheel bearing put in, and I cudnt do it cuz it has to be pressed in. But your best bet ie to get a Haynes Manual. I went by that and it never leads me wrong, unles u gotta rebuild your engine. Found that one ou tthe hard way! Good luck!
