ANY Troubleshooting Suggestions?? Taillamp indicator still on!!!
Ok, I've checked and replaced all the bulbs in my taillamps (eventhough they weren't burn't out).........and this damn "taillight out" indicator is still on!!!!
Damn this thing:
Anybody else have this light come on for no reason?? Is there a way to reset the light? Anything else I should be checking for?

I had that problem about two months ago. My light came on one day so I cahanged all the bulbs yet the light still came on. Two days later I had no brake light at all, so therfore I could not put my car in gear without using the quick shift button......well anyway to the point go to the dealer and for about $50.00 they can tell you excatly what is wrong. In my case with my 97 the breaking switch was stuck in the close position so even though I still had the ability to stop the computer di not acknowledge the brake sensor was on. Well enough of my ranting good luck and let us know what they said.
is the third breake light out?if all lights work try taking off the neg wire off the bat. and tern on the light for a few minuts, put the cable back on and ee if that helped
By the way, the light doesn't come on as soon I as I turn on the car.......it doesn't appear untill I put the car in reverse, does that mean anything? It's an automatic.
I'm telling you it sounds like the brake sensor......same as mine the light would not come on until I would put the car in gear also.... I hate to tell you(if that is the problem) it cost me about $200.00 to fix. In any accout good luck.
i had that taillight sensor problem and fixed it myself for free
only mine wasnt stuck, it just wasnt getting power. I ghettorigged a power wire to the switch. FUSED of course... and it worked out well. my light still comes on though, BUT thats only cause i added a spoiler in the back, and took the 3rd brake light bulb out from the stock one. I wish i could throw a resistor in there or SOMETHING to get the damn light to turn off, but i dont really care too much about it. definitely if you are THAT concerned about it take it to the dealer to be fixed. I wouldnt worry though. it doesntaffect your car at all.
Hi, i'm new to this forum.
Have you check all the grounds for your tail lights, see if the
brake light bulb sockets (contact points) are melted, if it is, that's
your problem. If not, check the trunk wiring on the left side.
open the tapes, you might found broken wires.
