Camry Ignition

Wondering what the best ignition, meaning spark plugs, wires, and possibly coils and ignition control modules, for the Gen 3 I4 (5sfe) Camrys would be.

So all you guys who have aftermarket ignition products post your feedback on your upgrades, thanx guys!

drill a hole on ur distributor cap and put in a metal bolt from inside to stick out make sure the bolt is about / approx same size as the ignition wire u goin to use to hook up to the blaster SS coil...

btw make sure the 8910-hei tachadapter is for toyota .. that part code sux ass.. i keep on blowin my msd sci until the toyota one was bought so make sure u bought the rite one.... then u gotta do some splicing on ur igniter i made a by pass unit cos of my earlier experience with my msd heating up and shuttin down ( due to the tach adapter mistake ) just in case so i can still use my stock system with the blaster SS coil ...

I removed one of the contacts & spring (the one towards the middle) inside the dist. cap and drilled it out.

Then all you need is a post and sparkplug wire to go between coil and dist. cap.

If you buy a MSD coil wire it'll come with a post.

MSD 6A: The amplifier box. This is what gives you a stronger spark.

MSD blaster ss coil: You can use the stock coil or go with a aftermarket one. I choice to go with a aftermarket coil. I also choice the blaster ss coil over the blaster 2 or blaster 3 cos the blaster ss is more efficient and can be mounted in any position.

MSD tach adapter (8910-HEI): You need this part for Toyota's otherwise the MSD won't work.
