Question Bumper Cameras?

In Korea, they are mounting video cameras in the right rear and left rear areas of the cars rear bumper. The image is displayed on a monitor in the cabin. It is used to eliminate all blind spots. They also have cameras mounted in the grill with nvg capabilities so you can see further than your headlights. Does anyone know if these systems are sold in the US and what they are called? I wouldnt mind installing a system in my 98 Camry.

Thanks
Pat

I think you're refering to parking cameras. Japanese market sells those, and projects image on your nav system. In the US, that's really not needed.

You could probably make your own with a regular bullet camera and a cheap in-dash screen that accepts rca inputs. Cameras are only going to cost $100-200 (or more, depending on where you get it and how high the res is), don't really know on a simple screen like that.

hay, if you put a cam in your grill you could make a way to record your driving/Racing. nothing better then having a rear mounted Street race recorder to capture all of your wins. and to show who crap others cars are. hahaha if only i had a vid of me draging off that Holden VT SS.
