YEAH!! About to start My Xenon Projector Retrofit!!!

Ok ya'll, I'm eventually going to make the move to projector. It's going to take a long time since the projectors I ordered are kinda big. I bought these BMW 540i xenon headlamps:

and I want my headlamp to be like this once I'm done:

I'm very satisfied with my current HID setup, so I'm not in any big rush........but I'm always into trying something different.

Besides, I may not have enough room to fit these in, they are about 7 inches long and 5 inches wide!!!

oh well...........I'll keep yall updated with pictures, maybe starting Friday.

You mean Audi projectors? Yeah I was looking at those, but they are $150+ and thats without the D2S bulbs.

I already bought these BMW headlamps though........$100 for the pair! has the D2S bulbs too, only thing that's missing is one ballast (anyone want to buy the other one?).

Here's some pictures already! Haven't recieved the projectors yet....hopefully by 7pm, but I wanted to go ahead and get started with the preparation.

First, I heated the lamp and got the lense off........I just hope I can get it back on:

Since I've been bitchin' about not having DRLs, I figured I'd make my own while I had the lense off, so I used the ventilation hole as a starting point, and I drilled the hole out to accomodate a set of 885 bulbs I bought:

Here is what the back of the bulb will look like once I JB Weld it to the lamp. The bulb will be wired to my parking lamps......by the way, anyone know which color wire is + and - on the non-flashing parking lamp?:

And heres the bulb looking at it from the front:

I'll probably have more pics once I get these projectors in............

How did you take off the lens? Did you heat it at 350 degrees and then pry off the lens?

Yep, for about 5 minutes.

You gotta keep an eye on it though, I forgot to put one in the middle shelf and the heat from the top ruined one of my lenses...........but I have 3 sets of headlamps, so it's all good.

Hey, does anyone know the wiring configuration/color for the front parking lamps? I need to know which one is positive and negative.....and which ones are just the constant lamp, not the blinking one.
