5S-FE tranny swap (pics)

The differential on my friends 94 Camry broke so were swapping out the tranny.

We wanted to do a manual tranny swap, but that also means alot more work and time. Our goal for now is to get the damn thing back on the road, so we're going to swap in another automatic tranny for now. The busted tranny is under warranty so its all good.

I'll be taking somemore pics later on today and updating the album, so stay tuned.

Yeah it's Joe's (karma) tranny.

We replaced the water pump, timing belt, timing belt tensioner spring, and power steering belt over the weekend.

Also dropped off the broken tranny at TAP and got another one.

I would of taken somemore pics, but I forgot my camera at home. Doh...

Theres still some stuff left to do, but we'll get it back on the road.

Haha... Shit happens.

The block, rods, crank, and the 3 other pistons are fine though.

Within the next year, I can almost promise you.

I love my tranny now... I got a lil' weaker cervo spring and now it shifts so smooth... valve body and accumulator and a ton of other shit had to be swapped as well but now she runs great!!!
