Swaybar bushings...where?

I jacked the car up today and tried to find out what's causing all those clunking/thumping noises when I go over bumps (just replaced struts so it's probably not those) and I was told to check the swaybar bushings. Well I found a lot of areas where there were bushings so I'm not really sure if I was looking at the right place. If it's possible, can someone mark the pictures where the swaybar bushings are located? Thanks.

Her you go, There are two bolts per bracket. If the bushings look good ie; no cracks, tears, just put some grease on the inner diameter and reinstall. Let us know how it works out. Good luck!!

What kind of grease am I suppose to use? So there are two bolts holding onto that bushing? Will I be able to just unscrew it, apply the grease, and screw it back on?

BTW, any other bushings I should lube while I'm at it? Want to make sure I only have to do it once so I don't have to keep getting under the car all the time trying to figure out where the squeaking is coming from.

try lithium or bearing grease, just a little bit. also check the other bushings for signs of wear and tear. That bracket when removed will come down a little, just use a jack to hold it in place. It makes it easier to put the bracket back on.

Can I remove these bushings (circled in blue) while the car is jacked up or is it easier when it's on the ground?

Update on the swaybar bushings. I got the car jacked up today and removed two bolts that held a bracket to each side of the swaybar bushing. I used lithium grease as Camry9294 suggested and spread them onto the inner diameter of the bushings as well as the outer part where it meets the bracket. Screwed everything back on and it took less than 10 minutes for both sides. I wanted to lube up all the other bushings as well but I tried to loosen them while lying under the car and the bolts didn't seem to give so I might try that another day or if someone has suggestions on how to remove the bolts circled in blue without an impact wrench please tell me:

I took it around for a test drive and the noises seemed to have gone away for the most part or maybe it's all in my head. Well, I'll have to drive around more to see if it's still making clunking sounds when the car goes over small bumps.

Hope your noises will go away after that new swaybar install. Anyways, found out noises came back (or maybe they never really went away in the first place) so now I have to find out how I'm going to take off the other suspension bushings without an impact wrench.

Hey guys, I know how annoying those noises can be!!! If struts were just replaced, double check all loosened nuts and bolts. Try the nut for the strut rod. You'll have to take out the rear deck area. If you are attemmpting to loosen those bolts in blue, I suggest soaking them with penetrating oil(a good one) and let it soak a whille. The use of a long breaker bar will help.

Lightbulb sway bar bushings...

Hello. I had the same problem last week. I started noticing noise when I went over small bumbs, etc. At first I thought my spare was loose. It wasn't. Next, I thought I needed shocks/struts, so, I started looking around on the net and someone suggested lubricating the sway bar bushings. My 2000 Camry is still under warranty, so, I figured I would let them do the work. I brought it in and told them about the noise and that I thought they needed to replace the sway bar bushings. It turns out that the bushings were fine, but my right rear control arm had to be replaced. (probably because of the curb I slide into last winter while screwing around!) Anyway, the noise is gone and the car rides like it has new shocks. If your car is not under warrenty I would suggest going to a place like Midas or Tuffy where they do free estimates and tell them about your noise. Just play dumb and if they find something wrong say you'll come back for the service. At least you know what is wrong. If it is under warranty you should take it in asap!

Damn too bad I don't have the warranty on the car anymore. I guess maybe it's the rear control arms? I need to bring it somewhere for a free estimate and see from there.
