I have a Gen3 Camry...I think my auto trans is affecting engine performance. Sometimes it'll run normal then at times it'll be really sluggish during acceleration. Right now my speedometer isnt working and the O/D Light keeps flashing. Toyota wants does anyone know whats wrong with it? What do I need to replace? A local shop told me I needed to replace the speedometer cable. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I'd definitely be suspect of the transmission also. According to the shop manual... when the O/D light is blinking, it usually means that there is trouble with the tranny. Either the ECT system, or the O/D system.

yeah, o/d is most likely tranny problems...

as for your speedo, have you taken off your dash and mess with any of the wiring back there...i can't remember off the top of my head but i'm pretty sure there's a cable that hooks into your speedo so that might have just gotten knocked off or something...
