DIY easy
ok, you can try to find out what wires are what
but to learn their purpose and eliminate risk that some cars may have differences (remember your basing it on color), here is what you
Cut all the wires so they are free at the plug end
With the car OFF, get a multimeter
Ground the multimeter to your chassis
Now touch the positive from the MM on all the wires (try the fattest two first, probably white / red)
ONE wire will display a charge on the MM
Therefore, this wire has a completed circuit from battery to plug to multimeter to negative chassis with the battery off
This wire is therefore the POSITIVE
Now, turn your ignition to accessories
The accersories board will emit power only when the car is on or past accesseories, it is this cable that makes your radio turn on with the ignition
Now do the same as before, except now there wil be 2 wires that give charge (the one from before plus a new one)
The new one is the ACCESSORIES cable
Now with the positive end of the multimeter on the positive wire, touch the negative end to all the wires (other than acc and pos) until you get a current
This has completed a circuit from battery to plug to cable to battery
This means the one you just earthed to (probably black) is the NEGATIVE
From now on, you just have speaker wire plus antenna
antenna is fat and obvious
For speaker wire, just follow it
Or, with your head unit on (acc, pos, gnd) just touch any Positive/negative speaker combination with the output pos/-ve and a speaker will play, then u know whichj speaker is which
Remember, when dealing with 2 wires, pos and -ve, the pos will normally have a white/red stripe, as opposed to the flat -ve
Okay, i know its easier to just get a diagram, but if u want to know how to do it properly, there you go
