Just curious how your exhaust sounds? What about the cold air intake? I'm dying to see pics...enquiring minds want to know. I'm wondering if they had to take off the bumber to get the filter on....

Ok, the cat-back went very well. I can feel the engine gaining some top end, especially in the power band (between 3-6k). I really wanna dyno this thing as soon as I get the intake. Today I had the bigger resonator put on an it took a lot of the edge off the original setup. But hey, that's what it's all about, tuning. I like the sound, a lot, except everyone on the road now thinks im looking for a race.

About the intake itself, I have about 13 pics of the dis-assembly of everything so that Richard could blue-print the curves and measurements. However he needs one more spec, and thats the filter. The one I brought was too large for the new plan we have. It's no longer gonna be a conventional CAI with the filter on the end in the fender well, instead Brullen is gonna make an inline filter system, similar to the ones made by PRM. There are 2 important advantages to this. 1) the filter is in the engine bay, and can therefore be maintenanced easier, and 2) because it will be in the engine bay, it will get less of the 'crud' that would normally get on it if it were in the fender well. Also, since it will be shielded with a spout on the end, it will still get the cold air from the bumper and not the heat from the engine bay.

I cant wait for the Ultimate Racing downpipe also, pure torque!

What Im gonna do is bring the intake down to DPE Racing and dyno the car first with just the exhaust, then im gonna install the CAI and do a run, then one more 30 mins later for good measure.

BTW- After the CAI is done by Brullen, the system will be available for anyone else with a V6 who is interested.

latez.

I thought the intake design was pretty much the same for 4cyl and V6.

Dude, you got have the huge MAF sensors like we do.

Ratko: If you have time please grab some pics for us. How much will Brullen sell this CAI for? Ultimate Racing also have interest to produce CAI system for the Camrys.

Do you mean that we "don't" have the MAF sensor like you?

I wasn't aware of that. I didn't think the 1MZ-FE intake needed to be that much more complicated.

This CAI is made specifically for the Gen3 1MZ-FE, however, Richard from Brullen is keeping the design pretty generic so that he can adapt the kit to any car.

Seems like Brullen is back into the intake business

That's what I thought.

I'm just waiting for him to get into the header business. If he offered to make me headers when I did my cat back I would have gone for it. But I think now its too late. I think I want 3S-GTE swap to be my next step.
